OPUWO — The Kunene Second Division Football League is set to resume this Saturday, following a brief postponement due to the passing of President Hage Geingob. The league, which operates under the Namibia Football Association (NFA), promises an engaging start to the season with a lineup of eagerly awaited matches.



According to The Namibia Press Agency, the league’s administrator, the preparation phase has concluded successfully, with all stadiums inspected and declared ready for the competition. The opening weekend will feature a series of matches, including a notable game where newly promoted Okarindi Komutai FC will travel to Outjo to challenge Sixty Eleven FC at the Etoshapoort Sports Field. This season introduces fresh teams and sees significant players making moves, ensuring a thrilling competition from the start. Nangombe expressed enthusiasm for the league’s kickoff, highlighting the anticipation and excitement surrounding the return of top-class football to the region.
