Department of Health, North West Province hosts a series of events to commemorate National Women’s Day and highlight health issues related to women
The North West Department of Health will be commemorating the 2021 National Women’s Day with two important events to be held in Bojanala and Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati Districts. “The National Women’s Day is celebrated under the theme: The year of Charlotte Mannya Maxeke, Realising Women’s Rights”.
Women’s Month provides an opportunity for government and civil society to highlight the challenges confronting women and profile programmes and policies that advance women empowerment and gender equity.
MEC Madoda Sambatha will lead the events and pay tribute to the women in the Department of Health who are at the forefront in the war against the COVID-19 pandemic. The first event will be held in the Bojanala district as follows:

PREP and Women Sexual Health
The above events will be held under strict COVID-19 preventative measures and attendance is limited to 50 individuals.
