The association “Burkina Dambè Lundè” reflects with leaders for the return of peace

The association “Burkina Dambè Lundè” (together let’s restore our values for peace in Burkina) organized Sunday in Ouagadougou, a meeting for exchange with customary and religious authorities, leaders of opinions and resource people from the Fulani community for the search for security, peace and social cohesion in Burkina, noted a journalist from the AIB.

It was under the aegis of His Majesty Mogho-Naaba Baongo, represented by Kouriteng-Song-Kogl-Naba Karfo that these exchanges were opened in the Burkinabè capital in the presence of customary and religious authorities, opinion leaders and resource people from the Fulani community.

The theme, “For security, peace and social cohesion, I am committed”, has had great enthusiasm in view of the mobilization of the various actors.

According to the secretary general of the Tégawendé association, Alfred Simporé, “the primary objective is to contribute to the search for peace which, today, is the key word that concerns all Burkinabè”.

The ambition of “Burkina Dambè Lundè” is to be able to bring together all the sixty ethnic groups in Burkina Faso to work towards a return to the noble ancestral values, said Mr. Simporé.

“These values which have always founded the good living together of our communities and which have always allowed our parents, our grandparents to live in peace and in wonderful solidarity, we have lost them today”, underlined SG Simporé .

He thinks that it is because we have lost these values that we live in this situation and that we must work for a return to our values.

And this will require the commitment of leaders whose voices carry.

“We must work without accusation, without prejudice, for a return to lasting peace,” insists Mr. Simporé.

Build something solid for posterity

The representative of His Majesty the Mogho-Naaba, the Kouriteng-Song-Kogl-Naba Karfo could not have been clearer:

“The association even took a long time to be born. If she had been born three years ago, many things had been resolved. But better late than never. Burkina is gradually rediscovering its values”.

“The sixty ethnic groups in Burkina Faso must know that they all come from Adam and Eve. We filmed in several localities in Burkina Faso and we continue to film and, please God, Burkina Faso will regain its stability. We are in it and we are in the process of building something solid for posterity”, faith of the customary chief.

The Emir of Baraboulé Hamadou Hamadoun Dicko, who has lived in Ouagadougou for 7 years with his family due to insecurity, only wants peace to return to Burkina.

“We will try as customary, to convey messages to young people and we will understand each other. We lived together for decades without problems and we want to find this same atmosphere, “he said, mentioning having learned from the media that “500 young people have laid down their arms in Niger for peace”.

“The voice of the people is the voice of God. We are going to meet the leaders of the other localities, we are going to find solutions. Of the sixty ethnic groups in Burkina, none can live without the other. They are from the same mother and the same father,” said the president of the association “Burkina Dambè Lundè” Idrissa Zongo.

The association was in Bobo last week and was able to meet the communities of western Burkina Faso for the same message.

The three words that make up Burkina Dambè Lundè are in the Mossi, Dioula and Peulh languages respectively, to symbolize the uniqueness of the ethnic groups in Burkina.

The association was born in November 2022 with the objective of seeking security, peace and social cohesion.
