World leaders felicitate President Jammeh

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Jammeh Babili Mansa continues to receive messages of felicitation from world leaders.

The latest to write to the President include His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Salman Ben Abdel Aziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the two Holy Mosques; His Excellency Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, the President of the Republic of Egypt; His Excellency Mamnoon Hussain, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and His Excellency Dr. Dervis Eroglu the former President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The messages read:

I received with appreciation your letter of condolences for the attack that led to the killing of the Attorney General. Your letter indicates your country’s solidarity with Egypt in its efforts to combat terrorism, violence and extremism.

Al sisiI would like to affirm that this critical phase, in which the Middle East and other countries of the world face the threat of terrorism, requires the concerted efforts of the international community to defeat this menace and eliminate it. This would enable us to improve the situation for the peoples of the region in a manner that contributes towards achieving their aspirations for development, prosperity and a life of security and stability.

Such heinous terrorist incidents will only strengthen our resolve to continue in our efforts to defeat it and build a better tomorrow for our future generations as well as work to promote the real values of our tolerant Islam which rejects violence and extremism, and promotes compassion, tolerance, coexistence and acceptance of others.

I would like to seize this opportunity to express to you once again my thanks and appreciation.
