What has next week's weather got in store?

The forecast for the week ahead brings a mix of frosts, rain and strong winds for the South West.

Today’s forecast will see temperatures reach a maximum of 10°C which is above the average for this time of year.

Tonight it will be dry and chilly with local frost early in the night, but temperatures will rise later as fog develops widely and patchy rain spreads into the west. The minimum temperature will be 3°C.

Tomorrow the fog will linger well into the day. A band of light rain in Cornwall will gradually spread eastwards during the day. The maximum temperature will again be 10°C.

The outlook for Tuesday to Thursday is cloudy, breezy and still mild with rain at times and dry interludes. Stronger winds and heavier rain are likely on Thursday.
