OTJIWARONGO: Swapo-Party’s regional councillor for the Tsumkwe constituency and Member of the National Council, Moses Kgao Coma has died, aged 50.
Coma was declared dead upon his arrival at the Otjiwarongo Medi-Clinic just before 13h00 on Tuesday, shortly after he complained of chest pains.
Otjozondjupa Regional Governor Rapama Kamehozu told Nampa on Tuesday that it is suspected that Coma might have suffered a heart attack.
The governor described Coma’s death as “tragic and shocking”.
After hearing of the councillor’s death, Kamehozu immediately called off a regional council meeting which was supposed to take place at 14h00 on Tuesday at the Otjozondjupa Regional Council Chambers.
Coma’s next-of-kin have been informed of his death, according to Kamehozu.
