(OUTAPI): A Namibia Traffic Information System (NaTIS) Centre will be constructed at Outapi in the Omusati Region in the next 12 months.
Works and Transport Minister Errki Nghimtina conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of that centre at Outapi yesterday.
The construction of the centre will cost about N.dollars 22 million.
Nghimtina told those present during the groundbreaking event that the construction of the centre symbolises a significant milestone for the people of the Omusati Region as it will bring services closer to the people.
Once completed, the Outapi NaTIS One-Stop-Centre will accommodate all the NaTIS services under one roof and, as a result, put an end to residents traveling long distances to Ongwediva for NaTIS services.
