Exmouth RNLI rescued a fishing boat stranded seven miles off the coast.
Exmouth’s Shannon class lifeboat R and J Welburn was launched at 6.09pm on Thursday, August 18 to help a leisure fishing vessel which had overheated, seven miles south of the lifeboat station.

A spokesperson for the Exmouth RNLI said: “The all-weather lifeboat was on scene within 24 minutes and a crew volunteer on board the casualty vessel to assist with setting up a tow line.
“The volunteers towed the two men back to their mooring off Shelly beach and then assisted them ashore to Exmouth Marina.
“R and J Welburn was ready for service again at 9.15pm.”
