Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the relocation of the Consulate General in Mariupol to the OSCE premises in Mariupol

With the primary purpose of ensuring the safety of the staff members of the Consulate General of Mariupol, as well as of the journalists hosted there, it was decided to temporarily relocate the Consulate General to another building within the city. Specifically, to the premises where the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission’s Mariupol office was located until a few days ago before its evacuation.

The relocation was successfully completed earlier today.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its gratitude to the OSCE Secretariat and in particular to the Secretary General of the Organization, Helga Schmid.

The Consulate General will continue to operate normally.
