Pretoria: Two Soweto girls, Thandeka Moganetsi, 15, and Chwayita Rathazayo, 16, who were murdered in what police suspect was a satanic ritual last week, will be laid to rest today.
The girls, dressed George Khosa Secondary School uniform, were found dumped in Dobsonville, and had cuts on their hands and necks.
Police also found black candles and razor blades at the scene.
The joint funeral service will be held at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
George Khosa Secondary Schools learners and officials from the Gauteng Education Department are expected to attend the funeral.
Two teenage boys arrested in connection with the murder appeared in court on Monday.
Court proceedings – which were held in camera as the boys, both 16, are minors – were postponed to Wednesday for further investigation.
