Pretoria: Two teenage boys arrested for the murder of two Dobsonville school girls will appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court in Soweto today.
The two boys were arrested last Thursday at George Khosa High School, where they attended school with the girls.
Two girls, 15-year-old Thandeka Moganetsi and 16-year-old Chwayita Rathazaya, were found dead on Wednesday, still dressed in their school uniform. Police recovered black candles, razor blades and their school bags next to their bodies.
The two boys had appeared in court on Friday and were kept in a place of safety over the weekend to allow for a formal psychiatric assessment.
As the boys are still minors, their case will be heard in camera, with only family members and social workers allowed.
