A joint operation by Hawks and Crime Intelligence members yielded good results when they arrested a 36-year-old female and shut down a hydroponic laboratory on Wednesday, 24 August 2016. Members swooped a farm house in Cato Ridge area near Camperdown and caught the suspect in the act.
More than 173 dagga plants, paraphernalia and container were seized. The street value of the dagga plants seized is approximately R96 000.00. She was charged for dealing in dagga and for possession of dagga in regard to the cultivation. She is due to appear in Camperdown Magistrates’ Court today.
Meaning while Hawks members in Port Shepstone arrested Jan Labotske (26) for manufacturing and selling cannabis oil in Margate on Tuesday, 23 August 2016. He appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court and was granted R2000.00 bail. The case was postponed to 19 September 2016.
