MAREMA: A six-year-old boy died on the spot when he was hit by a vehicle at THE Marema village near the Rundu-Nkurenkuru main road on Sunday afternoon.
The village is situated some 120 kilometres west of Rundu.
A Namibian Police report availed to Nampa on Monday said the boy was hit by a Toyota minibus as he attempted to cross the road at around 18h00.
The deceased has been identified as Siyowo Ndara, a resident of Marema. His next of kin have been informed of his death.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) has opened a case of culpable homicide in the matter.
