Secretary General for International Economic Affairs Ioannis Smyrlis’ meeting with the Ambassador of Iran, Ahmad Naderi-Donation of 150,000 vaccines (07.10.2021)

Secretary General for International Economic Affairs and President of Enterprise Greece, Mr. Ioannis Smyrlis, met today with the Ambassador of Iran, Mr. Ahmad Naderi, a few days after the delivery of 150,000 vaccines to the Iranian government.

During the meeting, Mr. Smyrlis referred to Greece’s immediate response – as a gesture of solidarity with the Iranian people – to Tehran’s request for assistance in addressing the pandemic.

Ambassador Ahmad Naderi, for his part, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Iranian government for the donation of vaccines.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General for “Development and Humanitarian Aid” (“Hellenic Aid”), Mr. Alexandros Diakopoulos.
