NNA – Prime Minister Tammam Salam Wednesday morning welcomed at the Grand Serail the Saudi Kingdom Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Awad Assiri, with discussions reportedly featuring high on domestic and regional issues and developments.
The pair also discussed the Lebanese -Saudi relations and means of strengthening them.
Salam also met with a delegation from the International Lions Club Association – region 351- chaired by Barry Balmer, the former international president.
The delegation briefed Salam on its activities, mainly the opening of the Eyes’ Center in “Bouar Governmental Hospital.”
Separately, Salam met with a delegation from “Future” parliamentary bloc deputies including MPs Ahmad Fatfat, Jamal Jarrah, Riad Rahal, Amine Wehbeh and Ziad Al-Kadiri.
MP Fatfat said, in the wake of the meeting, that they briefed PM Salam on the political developments and the visits that they paid to the political forces, confirming that all the said forces assured their rejection to disrupt the cabinet’s work.
Fatfat praised PM Salam’s wisdom, stressing their support to the way he deals with the current problems ,mainly the security issues.
Salam also discussed with MP Atef Majdalani the general issues and developments.
Separately, the PM met with the UNIFIL Commander, General Lucciano Portolano, with discussions reportedly featuring high on the situation in the south.
Salam also met with a delegation from the committee of pilgrimage issues presided by Former Minister Hassan Al-Sabeh.
