_: SWAKOPMUND: The remains of a man that washed up here early Friday afternoon has been confirmed as the fourth victim of the capsized Dan Jose vessel, while two more bodies were found early yesterday morning.

NamPol’s Regional Crime Investigation Coordinator for the Erongo Region, Deputy Commissioner Ottilie Kashuupulwa told Nampa yesterday that the three bodies found have been identified as crew members of the Dan Jose vessel that capsized on 26 July.

The last two bodies were found by a Swakopmund resident who was driving along the beach near the salt pans en route to Henties Bay.

Members of NamPol as well as members of the Swakopmund emergency services rushed to scene to remove the remains of the men, who can not be named yet, as their next of kin are yet to be informed.

One survivor, David Alweendo, managed to swim to shore and call for help.

The other bodies recovered are that of Dan Jose skipper, Daniel Klopper and fellow crew men, Thomas Haikongo and Ervast Tshavuka Andreas.
