ONGWEDIVA: The leadership of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) in the Omusati Region on Sunday elected new members to its regional executive committee, the party’s administrative arm in the region.
Newly-elected information and publicity officer Mathias Muyera Kativa told Nampa on Wednesday that the term of office of the new regional executive committee members is three years.
Immanuel Shikongo and Johanna Dilu are the party’s regional secretary and deputy regional secretary, respectively.
Other office bearers are Secilia Shekutamba (finance Officer); Michael Shikongo (education officer); Getre Heita (health officer); Ruben Diaz (agriculture officer); Hizipo Shindombolo (economic development officer); France Kainge (transport and logistics officer); and Lucas Tjimbundu (housing officer).
Eliaser Gomes, who earlier this year was reported as having “surrendered” himself to the governing Swapo-Party at Oshikuku Constituency along with other youths, has rejoined the RDP and was on Sunday elected to the regional executive body as legal affairs officer.
Rebbecca Hamutenya and Simeon Shivute were elected as the two administrative officers in charge of sports and culture.
Additional members of the RDP exco in the Omusati Region are Sem Angula, Robert Shilongo, Rauna Matheus, Damian Kalumbu and Mathias Amupolo.
Kativa said the exco has decided to host a fundraising event and public rally at Ondjuwoyamukulu village in the Etayi Constituency between 02 and 03 November.
