NNA – Development and Liberation bloc member Qassem Hashem on Monday emphasized, following his meeting with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail, on the “threats Lebanon is facing on many levels and that are requiring the Lebanese components to keep wary of the terrorist Takfiri danger.”
“The terrorist attack targeting the Arab region destabilizes the situation on the interior scene. The blood of the Lebanese army soldiers and internal unity has put an end to this conflict which debuted in Arsal. A number of soldiers had been liberated. However, we are all concerned with the military men that are still captives,” he added.
Qassem highlighted the importance of devising a national strategy to face terrorism which constitutes a threat that is as dangerous as the Zionist terrorism.
Separately, the Prime Minister met with UNIFIL Commander, General Luciano Portolano, over the situation in the south.
Salam later on respectively met with the Secretary General of the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council Nasri Khoury and Minister of Public Health Wael Abu Faour.
