Premier Supra Mahumapelo addresses Marikana/Wonderkop Peace Prayer Day, 2 Sept

The Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government together with the Marikana/Wonderkop Interfaith Fraternal will as part of the Reconciliation, Healing and Renewal (RHR) programme, host a Peace Prayer Day this coming weekend, this in an effort to create a platform for engagement on issues affecting social cohesion, reconciliation and healing in the area of Marikana.

The Peace Prayer Service will be addressed by Bokone Bophirima Premier Supra Mahumapelo, who will also lay a wreath at the Koppie, where 34 miners were killed during the 2012 Marikana tragedy.

Members of Executive Council, Mayors, Bapo BaMogale Traditional Leadership, Inter-faith community and community members around Wonderkop, Nkaneng, Mooinooi, Brits, Marikana and surrounding areas, are amongst those expected to attend the prayer service.
