The Premier of the Free State, Sisi Ntombela together with the MEC for Health, Montseng Tsiu will present the Free State COVID-19 Update and Response, on Wednesday, 20 January 2021. In particular, the Premier and MEC for Health will brief the citizens of the province, and South Africans in general, on behalf of the Provincial Coronavirus Command Council (PCCC), on the province’s COVID-19 Resurgence Plan as South Africa currently grapples with the second surge of COVID-19 infections.

The briefing will be held under the following arrangements:

Venue: Bophelo House Auditorium, Bloemfontein (Free State Department of Health Headquarters) Time: 08:30am – 10:30am

South Africa remains under Adjusted Alert Level 3 of the National Lockdown to contain the rapid rise in COVID-19 infections, and as such, to adhere to Disaster Management Regulations and COVID-19 Protocols, a limited number of representatives of media houses and interested personnel will be permitted on-site.

Representatives of media houses attending the briefing will be subjected to the necessary screening processes before entry into the venue.
