Participation of Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis in the Informal EU General Affairs Council (Portugal, 17-18.05.2021)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will take part in the Informal EU General Affairs Council, to be held in Coimbra, Portugal, on Monday, 17 May 2021.
The agenda includes issues related to the “outermost regions of Europe” and the formal launch of the EU Perspective Investigation Network. Also, in the context of the first meeting of the so-called “Ministers of the Future”, issues of the EU’s open strategic autonomy, resilience and the dual green and digital switchover will be discussed.
The next day (Tuesday, 18 May), Mr. Varvitsiotis will participate in the High-level Conference on the Rule of Law.
