WINDHOEK: Over 40 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will take part in the upcoming Katutura Central Expo.
The Expo is scheduled to take place at Independence Arena in Katutura from 02 to 05 August .
Member of the organizing committee Dion Gawanab told Nampa on Thursday that about 28 SME registered for the kapana, while 15 corporates which include ministries and agencies will show case their products and services.
Gawanab said the expo will feature different musical and cultural performances, a livestock show, prize giving ceremony, and boxing tournament with local boxers and those from neighboring countries such as Zimbabwe and South Africa.
He said livestock will start moving in the premises as from 31 July to 01 August.
Gawanab said the gates will open as from 08h00 to 22h00 and the entrance fee for children is N.dollars 5, N.dollars 10, adults is N. dollars 20 and free for pensioners.
The official opening will take place on Frida (03August) and Trade and Industry Minister Hage Geingob is expected to officiate at the event.
Mayor of the City of Windhoek Eleine Trepper, Governor of Khomas Region Samuel Nuuyoma, government ministers, Local authority councilors, regional councilors, traditional leaders and church leaders are invited to to attend.
