OTJIWARONGO: Otjiwarongo agricultural show and trade fair politely kicked-off on Monday morning at the Paresis show grounds with over 200 local and international exhibitors.
Otjiwarongo Municipality public relations officer (PRO) Hilaria Ndadi said in an interview with Nampa on Monday that the show runs from 24 to 26 September 2012.
Its preparatory committee has split activities into agriculture, environment, entertainment, road safety awareness campaigns, business and marketing of corporate companies, ministries and small and medium enterprises, (SMEs), said Ndadi.
Agriculture category includes exhibitions of small and large livestock.
The people will be entertained by musicians from Namibia and South Africa and a magician from South Africa, as well as a boxing bonanza for the young local boxers, she said.
Crocodiles, friendly snakes, camels and other wild game animals amongst others are also here ready for exhibitions.
Participants from Botswana, Nigeria and South Africa started setting up stalls already on Sunday afternoon.
Stalls for SMEs are booked at N.dollars 500, and N.dollars 1 500 for corporate companies.
Entry fee is N.dollars 10 for adults and the rest enters for free.
“The office of the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Hage Geingob is expected to delegate someone who will come here and officially open our show on Tuesday,” said Ndadi.
