ONGWEDIVA: The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) kicked off here on Friday.
The popular trade fair will see more than 500 exhibitors including entrepreneurs, government ministries, agencies and departments, local authorities and international and regional exhibitors showcase their products and services.
Ongwediva Town Council Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Damian Egumbo told Nampa on Friday that the trade fair kicked off on a good note, with more than 500 exhibitors already exhibiting their products.
He said the exact number of exhibitors can however only be provided at a later stage as more exhibitors were still flocking in by Friday.
Last year, the fair registered 515 exhibitors, and expectations are that a larger number will showcase their products and services this year.
Some of the international participants include exhibitors from Austria, Zimbabwe, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and Indonesia.
Many of the exhibitors were on Friday still busy setting up their stands at the OATF Trade Fair Centre.
The fair is expected to be officially opened by President Hifikepunye Pohamba on Monday.
The OATF ends next Sunday.
