OTJIWARONGO: The Okakarara Trade Fair Society calls on Windhoek residents to rise and support it at a funding raising gala dinner which will take place in the capital on 16 August this year.

Okakarara Trade Fair Society Chairperson, Roger Kambatuku on Sunday said in a press statement that this will be the second funding raising gala dinner to take place at the Windhoek’s Old Power Station.

He noted that the Okakarara Trade Fair Society last week held a first fund raising dinner in Okakarara where more than N.dollars 70 000 was raised.

“Now we will host a final fund raising gala dinner event in Windhoek,” he said.

Kambatuku says the idea to hold these gala dinners is for the Okakarara Trade Fair to raise more funds so that it can organise a big and better trade fair.

He said the Okakarara Trade Fair has no direct financial sponsors to fulfil it its business aims and objects.

He said this year’s trade fair will take place on the 04 to 09 September 2012 at the Okakarara Trade Fair Centre.

Kambatuku therefore urges the public to come and support the Windhoek gala dinner and also participate in the trade fair itself.

Tickets for the Windhoek gala dinner are sold at N.dollars 250 for a single person, N.dollars 450 for a couple and N.dollars 2 000 for a corporate table of five people, whilst a corporate table accommodating ten people sells at N.dollars 3 500.

Tickets are bought at Lelani’s Hair Salon in Otjiwarongo, Okakarara Trade Fair Society Office, Okahandja’s Life Carwash and in Katutura at Pamue Carwash in the Kamberipa and Shanghai Streets.

(edited)OTJIWARONGO, 30 JUL (NAMPA) – The Okakarara Trade Fair Society has called on Windhoek residents to come forward and support it at a fundraising gala dinner set to take place in the capital on 16 August.

Okakarara Trade Fair Society Chairperson Roger Kambatuku said in a media statement availed to Nampa on Monday that the gala dinner, set to take place at the Old Power Station in Windhoek, comes after a similar event held in Okakarara earlier this month.

That fundraising gala dinner managed to raise more than N.dollars 70 000.

“We have had great trade fairs over the years and this year we will be celebrating our sixth year. We want to make it special and we need funds to do that. There is lot of money that goes into organising an event like this and since we don’t have direct funding from anywhere, we need to raise funds in order to pull it off,” Kambatuku was quoted as saying.

This year’s trade fair will take place at the Okakarara Trade Fair Centre from 04 to 09 September 2012.

Tickets for the Windhoek gala dinner are being sold for N.dollars 250 per person, N.dollars 450 per couple and N.dollars 2 000 for a corporate table of five people, whilst a corporate table accommodating 10 people sells for N.dollars 3 500.

Tickets are for sale at Lelani’s Hair Salon in Otjiwarongo, at the Okakarara Trade Fair Society office, at Okahandja’s Life Carwash and in Katutura at Pamue Carwash on the corner of Kamberipa and Shanghai streets.
