ONGWEDIVA: Visitors to the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) have been flocking to the Ongwediva Medipark Hospital’s stand there to have their glucose levels, blood pressure and weight checked for free.

The OATF is being held at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre.

The hospital is just one of the more than 500 exhibitors at the trade fair, which kicked off on Friday and ends this Saturday.

By Monday, when Nampa visited the hospital stand, more than 300 people had already had their health status checked at the stand.

The hospital’s night duty supervisor, Eric Shilongo could not contain his happiness at the turnout. He said that nowadays, people are becoming more and more interested in knowing their health status, which is a good indicator of a healthy nation.

“It is amazing to see young and old people turning up in big numbers to get tested to find out their glucose levels and blood pressure,” he stated in an interview with Nampa at the stand.

The Ongwediva Medipark Hospital is the first, and only, private hospital in the Oshana Region.
