ONGWEDIVA: The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Northern Branch says the late Minister of Education, Dr Abraham Iyambo will be ‘greatly missed by the entire business and education fraternity’ in Namibia.
This was said by chairperson of the NCCI Northern Branch, Tomas Iindji in a media statement availed to Nampa on Monday.
“On behalf of the executive committee, staff and entire membership of the NCCI Northern Branch, and other key stakeholders of the business fraternity here, I would like to express our deepest and most profound sympathy to the family, the entire staff of the Ministry of Education and Namibia in general,” said Iindji.
He noted that many businessmen and women in northern Namibia have met and interacted with the late minister in countless meetings and workshops over the years.
He stated that Iyambo has made outstanding and immense contributions to the development of education in the country.
“We are painfully aware of the tremendous loss to the education sector and indeed to Namibia as a whole as a result of the passing on of this distinguished and vibrant young minister,” Iindji stated.
The 52-year-old Iyambo died of as yet unknown causes whilst on official duty in London in the United Kingdom on Saturday.
