WINDHOEK: The Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) has recently donated N.dollars 90 000 to the cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) to support cancer suffers in the country.

“NBL has been a longstanding supporter of the CAN and annually sponsors N.dollar 30 000 to support the association’s awareness raising activities, with the view of combating cancer through early detection and treatment,” Olthaver & List (O&L) Group of Companies’ Group Manager for External Relations Roux-Che Locke said this in a statement issued here on Thursday.

Locke said a further annual sponsorship of N.dollars 60 000 goes towards the treatment of patients undergoing care at the A.B May Cancer Care Centre.

Handing over the sponsorship here on 18 July, in the presence of some of the patients, NBL’s Managing Director Wessie van de Westhuizen said the NBL as a member of the O&L is pleased with the work of the CAN as it truly enhances the lives of many Namibians.

“We will continue to support CAN with their work as this fully complements our purpose of creating a future and enhancing life,” he said.
