WINDHOEK: Namibia will host the 19th Western Africa Oil, Gas and Energy conference from 22 to 24 April this year.
It is being organised by South African company Global Pacific and Partners, and will focus on oil and gas opportunities, both offshore and onshore, in this vast zone.
The Petroleum Commissioner in the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Immanuel Mulunga told Nampa today that the ministry will participate in this conference, and is expected to make presentations on Namibia’s oil and gas opportunities.
He said it is a great opportunity for Namibia to learn, and it will boost Namibia’s image because this conference used to be held in other countries where oil is already discovered, such as Angola and Nigeria.
According to the conference website, the meeting will reveal opportunities and business cases for hydrocarbon exploration, discovery and energy development.
