WINDHOEK: Namibia SMEs Expo 2012 kicked off at the NamPower Convention Centre in the capital today.
The expo has attracted 85 corporate companies and small and medium enterprises (SME), which are showcasing their products and services at the three-day event.
It was organised by SMEs Compete, a consultancy firm that helps Namibian SMEs to grow their businesses, create wealth and generate employment.
In an interview with Nampa here, SMEs Compete Director Claudine Mouton said the exhibitors have come from all over the country and specialise in fields such as manufacturing, arts and crafts, cleaning materials, tourism and computer services.
Mouton explained that the expo will also see business seminars taking place tomorrow.
The seminars will be conducted by various organisations such as Telecom Namibia, Bank Windhoek, the Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI), the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN), Namibia Business Innovation Centre (NBIC) and the Namibia Employersâ€™ Federation (NEF).
