Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council and the International Donors’ Conference on Türkiye and Syria (Brussels, 20.03.2023)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel today, Sunday, March 19, 2023, to Brussels, where the EU-Iraq Cooperation Council will take place. The following day, Monday, March 20, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council of the EU.

The topics of discussion will be the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the situation in Tunisia.

Under “Current Affairs” EU Foreign Ministers will exchange views on the situation in Iran and developments regarding the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.

Afterwards, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will attend the Joint Session of EU Foreign and Defence Ministers, to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Compass one year after its approval, and EU support to Ukraine.

Lastly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the International Donors’ Conference in support of the people in Türkiye and Syria, co-hosted by the European Commission and the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
