Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to participate in a Trilateral Meeting between Greece, Cyprus and Israel (Jerusalem, 22.08.2021)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will participate on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in the Trilateral Meeting between Greece, Cyprus and Israel to be held in Jerusalem.

The Minister will first hold a bilateral meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Yair Lapid.

Then, he will participate along with his counterparts Yair Lapid and Nikos Christodoulides, in the Trilateral Meeting of the Foreign Ministers.

After the meeting, statements to the press by the Foreign Ministers are expected to follow at about 15: 20-15: 30.

The Minister will then participate in a trilateral meeting with his Cypriot counterpart and the Minister of Energy of Israel, Karine Elharar.

Shortly afterwards, there will be a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett.

Mr. Dendias will then be received by Israeli President, Isaac Herzog.

The visit will conclude with a meeting with Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz.

The trilateral meeting will focus on regional developments and various spheres for co-operation, such as combatting wildfires, the COVID-19 pandemic and environmental protection.

The bilateral meetings are expected to focus on the close cooperation between Greece and Israel in all fields, as well as on developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the wider Middle East region.
