Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ statement to Greek journalists upon arrival at the “Prespa Forum Dialogue 2022” (Ohrid, 16.06.2022)

I am here in Ohrid today, at the “Prespa Forum Dialogue”, to reiterate a long-standing principle of Greek foreign policy: that the future of North Macedonia, the future of the Western Balkans lies in the European Union, in the European values, in the common space of the rule of law and the protection of human rights.

And we need to make a great effort in order to contain any influence of actors who might want to steer this region in another, different direction: a direction other than the EU, International Law and European values.
