Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos to visit France(Paris, 17 April 2019)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos will travel to Paris tomorrow, 17 April, where he will meet with his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian.

Consultations will revolve around issues of regional and international interest, including the situation in Syria and Libya, as well as the European prospects of the Western Balkan countries.

The discussion agenda also includes recent developments with regard to Brexit, following the decisions of the European Council of 10 April, the upcoming European elections, as well as more specific issues of European interest such as aspects of European security, migration, and the EU Multi-annual Financial Framework.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also hold talks with France’s new Minister of State for European Affairs, Amelie de Montchalin.

Finally, he will meet with his Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel of France.
