WINDHOEK: Trade and Industry Minister Dr Hage Geingob has encouraged the Namibian and Cuban governments to find ways on how to cooperate on economic level.
In a meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Namibia, Carlos Manuel Rojos Lago at his office today, Geingob said the two countries have to move on and find ways on how to cooperate economically, noting that Cubans sacrificed their lives during Namibia’s liberation struggle.
The Cuban Ambassador’s visit to Geingob was to officially invite the minister and Namibian businesses to participate in the 2012 Havana International Trade Show set to take place from 04 to 10 November this year.
This trade fair is normally graced by key Cuban decision-makers and purchasers from industrial and commercial State entities, as well as import enterprises.
They use the one-week event to negotiate contracts with foreign suppliers, learn about new technologies and products, meet new exporters and strengthen their relationships with established suppliers.
It is also a valuable opportunity to assess the Cuban market, and evaluate their foreign competition.
