Today, the Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Albert Fritz, will launch the Oudtshoorn Shelter for Homeless people.
The MEC will be joined by Oudtshoorn Executive Mayor, Cllr. Colan Sylvester.
This shelter forms part of our growing network of 24 shelters across the province.
The facility will play a critical role in helping the Department and Municipality render critically needed interventions for homeless people. Key services rendered include; social work assistance, family reintegration and a referral pathway for substance abuse treatment.
There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
