Kuisebmund Secondary School to represent Erongo in BoN competition

WALVIS BAY: The Kuisebmund Secondary School (KSS) in Walvis Bay emerged as the regional winner of the sixth Bank of Namibia (BoN) annual National High School Competition here last Friday. The annual competition is one of the key projects of the BoN, initiated in 2006 with the endorsement of the Ministry of Education. According to a statement issued here by BoN on Wednesday, the KSS will represent the Erongo Region in the semi-finals, where all regional winners will compete against each other.

The semi-final competition is scheduled to take place on 13 September, and the final on 14 September in front of a live audience during a gala dinner at a hotel in Windhoek.The competition aims to improve and enhance the level of understanding of high-school learners on the role of the central bank, and economics in general. The overall winner will receive a cash prize of N.dollars 50 000, the runner-up N.dollars 30 000 and the third-best school N.dollars 10 000. The fourth runner-up will receive a printer.
