Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, on Monday discussed with a number of ministers and officials participating in meetings of the Africa 2016 Forum in Sharm el-Sheikh, ways to improve cooperation between Jordan and their countries.

The minister led a delegation from the private sector, including representatives from the industrial and commercial sectors, that took part in the “Business for Africa, Egypt and the World” conference which concluded Sunday evening.

Ali met her Egyptian counterpart Tarek Qabeel and Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman where they stressed the importance of enhancing economic relations and encouraging private sectors in both countries to establish joint investment projects.

The Jordanian minister also met with the Algerian Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdul Salam Bushoarb, and agreed on the need to improve economic cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the trade area. The volume of trade exchange between the two countries does not exceed JD90 million yearly.
