WINDHOEK: The International University of Management (IUM) celebrated its 10th anniversary on Friday evening in the capital.
Guest of honour, Former Namibian president, Dr Sam Nujoma commended IUM for upholding the high standard set by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), and for progressively gaining acceptance of, and credibility with national and international bench-marked universities and tertiary institutions.
The Founding Father of the Namibian Nation launched IUM 10 years ago, and on Friday commended the founders of the institution for living up to the vision, mission and targets they set for themselves 10 years ago.
Nujoma said he is gratified to see that the seed planted 10 years ago is not only growing but bearing fruit, and making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.
He said that in order to enhance the education and training sector’s contribution to the attainment of strategic national development goals, all stakeholders need to be involved in educating and training Namibians.
