The latest messages read:
RE: Letter of Appreciation for your benevolent gestures from 1994 to 2015 extended to the people of my district and my very self
I hereby write with the highest esteem and respect to you.
I want to inform you that I have received your information regarding the update on the numerous assistances that you have rendered to the people of my district from 1994 to date.
To begin with myself, you have taken me to Hajj, entrusted the chieftaincy of my district to me and also gave me an amount of D20, 000 during the period under review.
In the district of Foni Berefet, you brought the following projects to my people:
1. A big vegetable garden at Somita and Bullock Wards
2. Constructed a tertiary institution at Ndeban Village
3. Constructed a new mosque at Bullock Village
4. Extension of the electricity and water supply to my district.
On behalf of the people of Foni Berefet and on my own behalf, I extend my warmest appreciation and prayers to you for your personal well-being, good health, long life and prosperity for the numerous supports you rendered to my people.
Mr. President your benevolent gesture to my people cannot be over quantified for the fact that you have extended all your support to every household and village in my district all of which cannot be highlighted on a single letter like this one.
However, to conclude with the annual sugar gifts and rams, shared among poor Gambians, scholarship packages and school projects are all too evident for every common Gambian to remember.
I personally recall two occasions that you gave D150, 000 and D140, 000 respectively giving a total of D290, 000 to people of Somita Village excluding the other personal assistance you normally do in my absence.
Finally once again thank you for your generosity and support of the past years and assure you of my highest consideration, respect and esteem.
Alagie Jukung Camara
Chief of Foni Berefet
Thank You Sir
It is with deep appreciation that I write to you, to convey my sincere thanks and gratitude for the most precious gift that I have ever received – The Holy Qur’an. I cannot express to you how happy and delighted I was when I received it.
I am also thankful and appreciative of the additional gifts, which you have given to me – the brand new vehicle and the Tobaski ram respectively. I was performing Hajj in Saudi Araia when my family informed me about the Ram that you presented to me for Tobaski.
I am equally grateful to Your Excellency, for the opportunity you have given me, to contribute my quota to the service of Allah during the ‘Gamo’; on the night of Ashura to remind myself and Muslims in the Gambia of the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah with a view to forge and nurture good relationships and neighborliness so as to strive to become better Muslims.
I hope and pray that the message conveyed was well received by all in good faith and we will all endeavour to implement the lessons learnt.
In light of all the above, I once again express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Your Excellency, and pray for Allah’s abundant blessings, protection, guidance, good health, long life, peace and prosperity for you and your family.
I remain your brother in Islam my dear mentor.

Letter of Heartfelt Gratitude
I would like to humbly take this opportunity on behalf of my fellow students in the entire country to profusely thank you and your government for providing free education to all the children of our beloved nation, The Gambia.
As a child growing up in this country, I am very much enthralled by your leadership acumen as your government has worked tremendously to articulate and demonstrate meaningful leadership worthy of emulation not only in The Gambia but also even beyond.
Considering the pivotal role education has in national development, it is with great happiness to learn that students of this country will be given equal educational opportunity to access education through your magnanimity and presidential insight no matter one’s background, a possibility which most families have been beleaguered by due to the unavailability of resources to fund their children’s education. This move, Mr. President, is really unprecedented and much to the relief and delight especially those to whom hopes had actually been lost for the future. Now most parents enjoy relief of school fees being taken care of, some, which no one had thought in their wildest dreams.
Your Excellency, it is no doubt that the idea of helping parents foot the school bills of their children will help bring dropouts back to school, encourage more young people to pursue education and create a more learner friendly environment. On the other hand, we the students of this country are very grateful for such help which generations to come will feel and enjoy the benefits.
Therefore, I want to take this opportunity to heartily and profusely thank you, Mr. President for the numerous opportunities you are creating for young people in this country. May the good Lord bless you and your family abundantly and Allah give you the strength to lead this country to higher heights. Long Live The Gambia.
I wish to extend to you and your first family my warmest greetings.
Since you took the mantle of leadership of our great country your clarion call for people to go back to land, and grow what we eat and to be self-reliant and believe in ourselves, free treatment of women of infertility and pardoning of more than three hundred prisoners, have not only taken our nation to another step forward but also made us among the proud people of the world.
Your love for Islam has been demonstrated by your efforts in the rapid building of mosques across the country.
Your Excellency under your stewardship your name will go down in the history of The Gambia for bringing university education to the country and you have also made basic and secondary education accessible and affordable to all Gambians irrespective of their status.
All the above-mentioned achievement have prompted me to write and extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to you on behalf of my family.
May Allah grant you long life to lead and witness more development of The Gambia. Amen.
