MARIENTAL: Five boys aged between nine and 12 years were charged with bestiality with a goat in the Gibeon village on Friday last week.
Bestiality is sexual intercourse committed by a human being against an animal.
The case follows another report of bestiality in Rehoboth on Monday of the same week.
Statements were collected from all minors, and referred to social workers for screening.
In the meantime, a docket was send to the prosecutor at the Mariental Magistrate’s Court for a decision on the case.
Hardap Regional Commander of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), Commissioner Kobus Meyer said in a report obtained on Tuesday that the incident happened between 15h00 and 16h00 last Friday.
