NNA – An exceptionally rare heat wave is currently hitting Lebanon, with the high temperature degrees reaching in the city of Beirut 40 °C at noon.
The unprecedented heat wave, which is unlikely to recur in Lebanon as experts indicate, comes from the Arabian Peninsula with its epicenter south-west Saudi Arabia between Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
Weather Forecasters affirm that the heat wave does not usher in a hot summer this year.
The heat wave is characterized by very high yet short term temperatures, yet not exceeding two days. The wind speed reached 60 kilometers per hour.
