Police have formally identified a couple found dead after a suspected murder-suicide at a remote £1.2 million farmhouse in East Devon.

The bodies of Michael Beck, 62, and his wife Nicola, 53, were discovered in their £1.2million home last week.

Police confirmed no one else was present in the house at the time and have now said formal identification has been completed.

The couple, who also owned a £1.6million home in Fulham, south west London next to Chelsea FC’s stadium, were found dead at an address in Dunkeswell at 11.40am Wednesday January 4 after concerns were raised.

Detectives launched an enquiry into the circumstances surrounding both deaths which are being treated as a domestic related murder and suicide.

Detective Inspector Steve Davies, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “We are not looking for any other person in connection with this isolated incident and can confirm that no other person was present at the premises at the time of this incident.”

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
