Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Fragogiannis’ speech at the online forum of the Panhellenic Exporters Association themed “Exports: A Force for Growth and Perspective for Greece” (02.12.2021)

The decisive role of Greece’s economic and trade relations with France in the economic development of our country was underlined by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Mr. Kostas Fragogiannis, in a speech today, Thursday, December 2, at the Online Forum organized by the Panhellenic Exporters Association themed “Exports: Power of Growth and Perspective for Greece”.

In his speech, Mr. Fragogiannis referred to Greece’s strong ties of friendship and cooperation with France, a country with stable democratic institutions, a stable economy, a constant presence in all major fora and world organizations and a powerful military force.

Mr. Fragogiannis underlined France’s strong investment interest for the Greek market with the stock of French foreign direct investment recording an increase of 15.3% between 2018 and 2019 and expressed the government’s goal for further improvement of economic relations and further strengthening of Greece’s trade links with France.

The online forum of the Panhellenic Exporters Association was also attended by Minister of Finance Mr. Christos Staikouras, Alternate Minister of Finance Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis, Minister of Development & Investments Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, and Minister of Digital Governance Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis.
