Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Fragogiannis meets with the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology of Israel Ofir Akunis (Athens, 17.03.2023)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, met today, Friday, March 17, 2023, with the Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Ofir Akunis, who is currently on a working visit to Athens.

The discussion focused on the prospects for strengthening cooperation between Greece and Israel in the fields of innovation and technology, with a particular emphasis on agro-technology and food technology. In particular, it was agreed to take initiatives to bring together innovative enterprises from both countries in the agri-food sector, with the aim of exchanging know-how and developing synergies.     
It is noted that during Deputy Minister K. Fragogiannis’ visit to Israel last June (2022), the two sides expressed strong willingness to undertake systematic and targeted actions to enhance bilateral economic relations between Greece and Israel and attract investment.
