Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy Kostas Fragogiannis’ visit to Tirana (22.10.2021)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy Kostas Fragogiannis and the Minister of Tourism & Environment of the Albanian Government Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro agreed to promote the reactivation of the Tourism and Environment Committees between Greece and Albania during their meeting on Friday, October 22.

The Deputy Minister also met with the Minister of Finance & Economy, Ms. Delinda Imbahimaj, with whom they had the opportunity to discuss the prospects of cooperation and the transfer of know-how on issues related to European IPA III funds and the integration of European legislation.

Mr. Fragogiannis had also a meeting with the Minister for Europe & Foreign Affairs Mrs. Olta Xhacka, while he also visited the Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral of Tirana, where he met with His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios.

In the afternoon, Mr. Fragogiannis attended a lunch with the Hellenic Business Association and its representatives operating in Albania.

In his brief address, he praised the efforts of the Greek Ambassador to Tirana as well as the Embassy officials, emphasizing that “diplomacy is not only our national issues, it is not only our economic relations or the double taxation agreements or what we sign to do, but it is everything that concerns our life “.
