The Department of Basic Education (DBE) will on 8 March 2014 pause along with the world to mark International Women’s Day with two events in Mangaung and Rustenburg. The events will be addressed by the Minister Angie Motshekga and Deputy Minister Enver Surty who will deliver keynote addresses at the launch of the second Women’s Legacy Series publication.
The publications will celebrating the past generations of women who laid the foundation for the current generation to attain the civil liberties and freedoms enjoyed today, tribute to the women who were the pioneers of the anti-pass campaign.
