Conference on the Future of Europe: The Western Balkans join the dialogue on the future of Europe. (Ioannis Vellidis Convention Centre, Thessaloniki, 15.9.2021)

A round table discussion entitled as “The Western Balkans join the dialogue on the future of Europe” will be held on Wednesday, 15 September 2021 at 16.00 by the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs, Mr. Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, in the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe. The event will take place as a closed meeting at the “Olympias” Hall (room 6) of the “Ioannis Vellidis” Convention Center.

Following the end of the closed discussion, joint press statements will take place at 18.00. The official language will be English and no questions by the press are scheduled.

Following an invitation by the Greek Alternate Minister, the above special event will be attended by his counterparts of the Western Balkan countries, such as the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs of North Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Dimitrov, the Acting Assistant Minister for European Integration of Serbia, Mr. Miroslav Gacevic, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, the Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Bakir Sadović and the Kosovarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Donica Gërvalla-Schwarz. The State Secretary of Slovenia Gašper Dovžan  will also join the discussion as well as a video message of the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Mr Olivér Várhelyi will be delivered.
