WINDHOEK: Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Xin Shunkang has promised to fast-track the agreement between the two countries for the export of beef to China.
Xin said this during a media briefing in the capital on Friday to familiarise himself with the Namibian media.
He said Namibian beef is of good quality and he has no doubt that people of China will welcome it to enter their market as soon as possible, adding that his government has sent a team to investigate the export process before the final decision on this agreement is made.
Xin stressed that China in future will help Namibia in the area of agriculture, education and manufacturing.
He further promised to assist Namibia in training young people to be technicians, and will continue providing scholarships to more Namibians to study in China.
