WINDHOEK: Local breast cancer support group ‘Reach for Recovery’ on Tuesday announced that they will host the first-ever ‘Bling Bling’ song evening in Windhoek next week.
The song evening is a new initiative by Reach for Recovery, a support group under the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN), to use music (song and dance) to raise funds for the fight against cancer.
The announcement was made at the offices of the CAN in the capital.
Reach for Recovery’s Karen Wessels said the song evening event promises to be a night to remember, as it will feature performances by “well-known, unknown and surprise artists”.
The Bling Bling Song Evening will take place at the Playhouse Theatre next Tuesday, with the show slated to start at 19h00.
Wessels extended an invitation to all persons who are interested in attending the event to come dressed in their “fanciest, bling-est, flashiest outfits and accessories”.
Reach for Recovery is a branch of the CAN which fights cancer and its consequences countrywide by supporting research, health education, and information, care and support services.
The breast cancer support group fights cancer in cooperation with local communities and the business sector.
